HISTORY

Built by Hawker Aircraft Ltd of Kingston Upon Thames this aircraft first flew with 19 Sqn before being transferred to 263 Sqn and then 229 OCU. Her flying career ended with the 1 TWU and she later moved to the Trade Management Training Squadron at RAF Scampton and allocated Maintenance number 8832M. Next was a move to Classic Jets at North Weald before being bought by one our members and loaned to the museum.

Colours Scheme
This aircraft is in the colours of XG168 code 10 of 229OCU/79 Sqn from RAF Chivenor in gloss grey/green camouflage with white undersides and Class A roundels. 229OCU used to operate from RAF Horsham St Faith and other Norfolk bases regularly.
